The Route

Sun Nov 10 Fun Starts!
While the rest of the International Meet says “Good Bye” over brunch, we will gather at Scottsdale Ferrari for our greeting, packet hand out, driver’s meeting and trip roll out.   Depart the Saguaro cactus filled Sonoran Desert as we rise into the High Chaparral entrance to the Arizona mining country.  These twisty roads will have you enjoying 3rd gear all the way into the Verde Valley wine country and on to the Cowboy State’s first Capitol, Prescott. Pass through Upper Prescott Valley towards the Mogollon Rim and enter the Oak Creek Canyon sporting their trademark stunning Red Rocks of Sedona, Arizona.

Unpack once for the whole trip and join us for our daily group wine social hour then dinner on your own (recommend L’ AuBerge, Sedona’s best French restaurant is next door ).

Mon Nov 11THE GRAND CANYON  100th Anniversary – This is a scenic day twisting through river carved Oak Creek Canyon as we rise up to the vast expanse of the Colorado Plateau. We depart from the direct route to enjoy high desert Chaparral on roads which end at one of the most famous and picturesque scenes on the Colorado River; Horseshoe Bend in The Grand Canyon.

From there it is a 20 min drive East to Antelope Valley where we visit the famous Slot Canyon with its exposed gorgeous layers of red rock that spiral above you.  We return via the South Rim of The Grand Canyon in the park, the namesake of our State.
